About CheckLimo

CheckLimo is an independent directory of chauffeured ground transportation in the United States, together with plain language guides and free planning tools for anyone booking a car, a shuttle, or a bus.

What is in the directory

The directory covers five kinds of operator: limousine and chauffeured car services, black car and executive sedan operators, airport transfer and shuttle companies, party bus rentals, and charter bus and motorcoach fleets. Listings are organized by state and city, with a page for each independent operator.

Where the listings come from

Business listings are compiled from public data, principally the Overture Maps Foundation places dataset, and then filtered. We remove records that are clearly not passenger transport operators, drop metered taxi and ride hailing records that are a different product from pre booked chauffeured service, and separate national chain locations from independent operators so that large brands do not crowd out local companies.

Public business data is imperfect. Companies close, phone numbers change, and addresses go stale. Treat a listing as a starting point for your own research rather than as a verified recommendation, and confirm licensing, insurance, and pricing directly with any operator before booking. How listings are ordered

Nobody can pay to be listed, ranked, or removed. Listings are ordered by the confidence score attached to the underlying public data, which reflects how consistently a business appears across sources. It is a data quality signal and nothing more. It is not a quality rating, an endorsement, or a review score, and we do not present it as one.

How this site makes money

Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links, and some content is sponsored. When you use one of those links we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Sponsored placements are labeled where they appear. Directory listings are never affected: no operator in the directory has paid for its position, and sponsorship does not change which companies are listed or in what order. The guides and tools

Every article, guide, and calculator on this site is original work written for CheckLimo. The price ranges we publish are drawn from operator quotes and published rate cards across a range of metro areas and are updated periodically. They are guidance for budgeting and for comparing quotes, not a promise of what any particular company will charge you.

Corrections

If a listing is wrong, out of date, or should not be here, we want to fix it. The same goes for anything inaccurate in a guide. Corrections are handled through the contact details on the site.
