This policy explains what CheckLimo collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to this website only.

The short version

This is a static informational website. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not collect your name or address, and the calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. We use a standard web analytics service to understand which pages get read.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic. It records the pages you view, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, device type, and browser. This is collected in aggregate and is used to decide what to write next. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard access logs, including IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and user agent. These are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

What we do not collect

  • We do not have user accounts, so we hold no usernames or passwords.
  • We do not process payments and never see payment details.
  • We do not ask for your name, postal address, or phone number.
  • The calculators do not transmit your inputs anywhere. Everything you type into them is processed in your browser and is not sent to us.

Cookies

Analytics cookies are used to distinguish repeat visits from new ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and this site will continue to work normally without them. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Outbound links

This site links to operator websites, regulators, and commercial partners. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, subject to their privacy policy. Some outbound links are affiliate links, which means the destination may record that you arrived from here in order to attribute a commission. See our affiliate disclosure.

Directory data

Directory listings describe businesses, not individuals. They are compiled from public sources, principally the Overture Maps Foundation dataset, and contain business names, addresses, phone numbers, and websites. If you operate a business listed here and want the listing corrected or removed, contact us and we will act on it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal data. Because we hold very little to begin with, most requests are straightforward. Contact us and we will respond.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date.
